Join a Focus Area Committee (FAC)
follow link The Focus Area Committees (FACs) review and evaluate grant applications submitted to Impact100 Greater Milwaukee. Serving on one of our five focus group committees (Arts & Culture, Education, Environment & Revitalization, Family, Health & Wellness) is one of the most important ways to participate in Impact100 Greater Milwaukee. Training and instruction on the Impact100 grants process is provided to all members. Participating on an FAC is an opportunity to learn about the needs of our community and those who are striving to meet those needs.
Help Review the Financial Disposition of the Grant Applicants
The Financial Review Committees (FRCs) are responsible for reviewing the financial information submitted by nonprofit organizations during the grant application process. The FRC in-depth review evaluates an organization’s financial stability and evidence of its accounting compliance. Familiarity with accounting and financial statements is essential for FRC members. The FRCs serve as liaisons to the Focus Area Committees (FACs) by assisting in review of grant proposals and preparing FAC members for site visits to the nonprofit organizations being considered as grant award finalists.
Help Us Develop our Membership
Help Impact100 Greater Milwaukee reach our goal by growing our membership. The Membership Committee focuses on engaging, growing and retaining our membership by being Impact100 Greater Milwaukee ambassadors. The Membership Committee maintains the membership database, and assists in planning and executing Membership events and the Annual Awards Celebration.
Help Communicate with Members and our Community
The key to an organization’s success is good communication. The Communications Committee shares information with the membership and builds awareness of Impact100 Greater Milwaukee throughout our community by developing marketing materials that tell the Impact100 Greater Milwaukee story. Committee members help to publish an e-newsletter, prepare press releases, write articles and photograph events. Members assist with media and public relations plans, and social media and website updates.
Assist with Systems Management
The Impact100 model is based on efficient philanthropy. Technology helps to create efficiencies. Systems Management Committee members assist with the management of our member and grants databases, website maintenance, document management, and with strategic technology evaluations and decisions.
Help Grow “Friends of Impact100 Greater Milwaukee”
Friends of Impact100 Committee members encourage businesses and individuals to support Impact100 Greater Milwaukee with financial and in-kind donations. Members of this committee assist in identifying and communicating with potential donors, as well as ensuring their recognition in Impact100 Greater Milwaukee materials. Members follow up with thank you notes to Friends of Impact100 Greater Milwaukee for their support.
